Proudly serving the residents of Orrick and Ray County, Missouri since 1902
The Bank of Orrick has been serving the people of Orrick and Ray County for over 100 years. The bank was founded by a local group of businessmen and received its charter on July 2, 1902. In 1904 W.C. Williams purchased a controlling interest in the bank and his family members have retained that control to this day. W.C. Williams served the bank from 1904 until 1940 as President. He retired in 1940 but remained on the Board of Directors until his death in 1952. The family management of the bank continued by Paul Williams the son of W.C. Williams serving from 1919 after returning home from World War 1. He took over as President on the retirement of his father in 1940 and held this position until his death in 1960. In 1955 Paul Williams purchased control of Citizens Bank in Orrick and in 1960 the two banks were merged with The Bank of Orrick the surviving bank.
After Paul’s death in 1960 his wife Blanche Williams joined the bank serving as Vice President and Chairman of the Board for many years. It was also at this time that Marion Clark, Paul and Blanche’s daughter joined the Board of Directors. In the early 1970’s Marion’s son Scott Clark began working for the bank working his way up the ranks to President and CEO as well as Chairman of the Board. In 2017 Scott retired from active management of the Bank continuing to serve as Chairman of the Board. In 2015 Scott’s son Christopher Clark joined the Board of Directors continuing with the family tradition of service to the bank. In 2017 Scott’s wife Cheri Clark and daughter Cari Wegge were elected to the board as well. Christopher and Cari make the 5th generation of the family to be actively involved in the direction of the bank.
Meeting the needs of its customers has always been an important role of the bank, and those needs have changed dramatically over the years. In continuing with this tradition the bank began a strategy of updating the products and services offered by The Bank of Orrick. This process has focused on deposit products and online offerings. The introduction of this updated website is the conclusion of this project. We invite you to look through the website to learn more about our new products and services. We believe you will find we offer services that you may have thought were only available in larger financial institutions.
